Earlier this week, we set out for the annual visit to see Santa Claus: our first ever! The girls got all dressed up in their Christmas best, ready to tell Santa exactly what they wanted for Christmas this year. We drove over to the mall, anticipating a long line, but thankfully, there was none! We sat and waited on a chair for Aunt CC to come help us see Santa - all is calm, all is bright in the forecast so far...
This Santa was the real thing...even came with a real beard! Caroline was enthralled with his fuzzy beard and glasses, and just stared longingly at Santa the whole time. Meanwhile, Claire (on the left), wasn't so sure why she was sitting on a big red lap with a white glove restraining her.
Claire seemed to calm down a bit just in time for us to snap a few pictures, while Caroline still couldn't believe she was surrounded by so much white fuzz.
Well, it was fun while it lasted...I guess Santa told Claire that she couldn't have what she really wanted this year...There's always next year, little Claire.
We took Claire off Santa's lap before she caused him to have a heart attack, and poor Caroline is left wondering, "Now why did you leave me on this old fuzzy guy's lap? What's wrong with this picture?"
I'm sure the stats show that 9 out of 10 babies cry on Santa's lap, so I'm just relieved that all of the fuss wasn't for nothing! Merry Christmas and yes, I DO still believe!
