When I stepped outside this morning, I felt a noticeable change in the weather! This means more stroller rides anytime during the day, not having to rush to turn the car on when I load the girls into their car seats, leaving the windows down in the car and up in the house, and giving a glimpse of the holiday season soon to come! This fall should be really exciting with the girls' first Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas right around the corner.
Yesterday, we took some 8 month pictures of the girls enjoying the crisp fall weather! These little outfits make me think that they're ready to start their first day of school!
It's amazing when I look back on their newborn pictures and see how much they've changed and grown in just 8 and a half months. They are such an amazing blessing and such sweet, happy little girls. Both of them are very similar in personality, but they have subtle differences that show their individuality. So far, they love being together and grab each others' hands all the time and laugh and laugh. Their sweetness is contagious and never ceases to brighten my day.

Our "big girl" chairs
Finally, we have settled into our new house and are loving it! The extra space is really great to have, and we are having fun driving around seeing our new area of town and what shops we can go to during the day. The girls are such troopers, and have endured more than their fair share of transitions just getting into the house as well as once we have moved in...Claire loves sleeping in on Saturday mornings with her daddy:
Caroline is sporting her new "do" - who knew a burp rag would look so becoming? She's a good sport when Mom gets crazy ideas like this!

The fun addition to the new house are the girls' very own chairs! They are just made of foam and can be moved from room to room...they love sitting in them and Claire loves rolling around in hers and rubbing her head on the back.
Caroline loves posing in her chair and now knows to smile when I get out the camera. She loves sticking her tongue out and gives a kind of lopsided grin when she smiles.

Our First House!
This past Friday, we finally closed on our new house in Copperfield, and we get to move in this coming Tuesday! We are beyond excited to finally move in, especially after having moved around a few times during this last month...the girls have been more than wonderful, resilient, and patient with us as we moved out of our townhouse, into Grammy's, into Cassie's, and back and forth to San Antonio twice on the weekends. It has been a CRAZY last few weeks, but the more grateful that has made us for our new house!
I don't even remember what my dishes or pots and pans look like anymore because they've been in storage and I've used about 3 different sets now at other people's houses. This will definitely go down as one of the most crazy times in our lives, even over having new twin babies in the house! But, our family has emerged stronger and closer now, and it was a blessing being able to stay with Cassie and John...I think it all worked out just as it should.
We can't wait to see how the bigger space will be, and we are so excited about simple things in our new house like our own garage space, backyard, front yard, patio, extra bedroom for guests, den with a fireplace, upstairs loft/gameroom...the list goes on and on! We are so thankful for friends and family who have loved us and welcomed us with open arms and have been flexible to let us stay with two babies and all our gear! We hope to return the favor to many in the upcoming months and years! Our house is your house!
